Junie B., First Grader

Today in first grade we were reading a poem about snakes. One of the "critical thinking" questions in the book was, "What do you think would happen if you stepped on a snake?" The answers were pretty typical, it might bite you, etc. Then I called on one boy and he said, "It could be a statue of a snake and then, after you step on it, it would put an evil curse on you." So true. So true.
