DEAR EVERYONE,
Kathryn is coming to visit me in less than a month!!! She's only going to be here for two nights but we are going to do EVERYTHING there is to do in St. Louis in those two nights. Well, maybe not everything but a whole lot including but not limited to: eating Ted Drewes, Going to see the Avett Brothers, possible Talayna's disco karaoke action, frolicking, dancing, loads of good foods, hula hooping, art hill-ing, crazy clothes wearing, and having alllll the fun.
i'm excited.

jump in a car and drive
That's what I want to do. Take all my sun dresses, my guitar, and just drive across country. I would also like a moment like this to happen at some point in my life, LOOK AT EMMYLOU'S DRESS!!!!

Sunday! Night! Video!
Bat For Lashes - What's a Girl To Do
Dedicated to Bailey, who showed me this video about a million years ago. It feels like a million years ago.
It's sooo Shangri-Las, isn't it? Seriously, I wonder if Mary Weiss has seen this.
I love everything about it.

When it's late at night...
And I feel anxious
or insecure
disposable
or alone
I listen to this and it makes me feel better.

I wish everyone could express themselves so sincerely.
Especially when it really counts.

the way i feel inside
"From the time she is very young, all Plum wants is this: to be loved for who she is with complete and awesome devotion. She tries to dress herself the way she feels inside so that the love of her life will recognize her easily." -Francesca Lia Block
Cecil Beaton's portraits are the way I feel inside.
I need to adjust my wardrobe accordingly.

Summer Camp Monster
Here are some pictures of my favorite summer camp projects!
Mono-print totes from BEDAZZLE YOUR WORLD
LIGHT SABERS! Please note the rainbow saber and the one with pink and blue stripes.
Fashion Challenge and a mound o' fabric!
I really love teaching summer camp. It's inspiring and FUN to work with creative people and I have the opportunity to work with some really amazing artists. Sometimes I forget what a rad job it is and what incredible things the organization I work for does. Sometimes I turn into a summer camp MONSTER. But most of the time it's wonderful.
Speaking of monsters, I made a bunch of these felt monsters a long time ago. I just found them and am trying to decide what to do with them. They're really fun to make. Maybe they could become little monster puppets? I don't know! Let me know if you have any ideas!
Now that camp is over I need to focus on lesson planning for the new job which starts in exactly two weeks! Yikes!,

home sick
I stayed home sick today which is something I almost never, ever, do. I hate staying home sick - especially when I spend most of the day sleeping. I like being productive and as manager at my work I realized today I really worry about making our numbers every week - it's only Tuesday and I am already worried!
But the good news about staying home is I had amble time to explore etsy.com and find my etsy favorite of the day!

hellowars is my new favorite store. The selection is small but specific and awesome.
It combines my two favorite things in such a great great way.
